Explain Yourself!

To a certain degree we all enjoy talking - with friends, family, or simply to communicate to the person sitting next to you that they are just a little too close for comfort.

However, in order to be able to truly communicate, you have to learn to explain. The purpose of an explanation is to demonstrate or develop understanding of whatever you are speaking about, and the ability to describe and/or account for its significance. Sounds simple, right?

With the holiday season coming up and a range of events to keep us busy, there will surely be times we will want to convey these adventures with those around us.

Try to practice your explanation methodology using the British Councils exercise here.
